  • costumes 
costumes are key to portraying a character within a production. if the costumes aren't right for the roles you need, it can give off the wrong kind of effect on the audience or viewers. 
  • props 
props are another good example, films such as doctor who are extremely dependant on props to be successful.

starter (budgeting in terms of casting)

how are films with different budgets cast differently? films with a higher budget are more likely to cast actors who are more qualified (A-list). some roles within films are written strictly for a specific actor. low budget films won't be able to afford to cast as many actors as a high budget film. some actors who are new might work for free as a way to get noticed by other producers and directors.
