Public vs private sector:
Pubic and private sectors both have their similarities, however, they also have many differences. The private sector is made entirely out of businesses owned by the people. This can include places like large shopping centres. In the private sector, companies also have to earn our money in order to gain a profit. However, in the public sector, the government uses taxes to fund itself. They decide when and where the money should be spent. Unlike the private sector, the public sector has higher costs and poorer services. Within the private sector, more money can be spent on services which makes them significantly better than the public sector services. Also in the private sector, there is often quite a bit of competition which can influence the price and quality of products being sold. The public sector need the money to continuously be flowing into tee companies otherwise they'll end up going out of business. They are mainly focused on the general purpose of providing the necessary services for a community as well as making sure they are at a decent standard. The public sector is also mainly monopoly. Politics have a huge impact on it and means that the public sector produce a lot of paper work to justify their actions.

evaluate question...
as a new/emerging filmmaker do you think you are more likely to get funding that comes from a private source, funding that comes from a public source or. combination of both?
I think as a new filmmaker, you are more likely to get funding from both public and private sectors. Private sectors would fund you because if you're a new filmmaker, you could possibly attract the attention of some producers who are in the private sector as that is run by the companies. They are also good as they have such better services so as a new filmmaker, you'd most likely lean more towards that. However, you could probably get funding from the public sector as well because she people might not want to invest loas on a new filmmaker with little experience. Some new filmmakers just want a starting platform so they will lean towards the public sector as it's more realistic. They have a lower standard for their services and are funded by tax through the government.
