Requirements of finance: What is it all about? We have looked at the different sources of finance, now we need to consider the requirements of finance - in other words what the money will need to be spent on. e.g. actors, crew and equipment. The key areas we are going to look at are: Equipment (camera) Crew Transport Talent Clearances (permits, etc) Materials (costumes, etc) Facility hire (schools, halls, etc) Equipment - This is everything that you need to have in order to make your film. These include, but are not exclusive to: Camera Tripod Lighting Support rig/stabiliser (for steady hand-held) Sound recording equipment Sd cards or other storage units Crew - Every production needs a crew in order to make a film.  Types of production Definition -  Short form film... Actual definition - A short form film is any motion picture not long enough to be considered a feature film. The academy of motion picture arts and sciences defines a short film as "an original motion picture that has a running time of 40 minutes or less, including all credits." My definition - A short form film a motion picture, of around 40 minutes or less, made for the purpose of telling a story or sending a key message to the audience in a short period of time. They re usually posted on social media platforms or shown prior to a feature film. they can also be used as an alternative to a trailer. sometimes they are found on DVDs on the special features. Feature film - Actual definition - A full-length film intended as the main item in a cinema programme.
